About Elite Camp

Our elite level junior camp is designed to develop all of a junior athletes skill set. This full day camp is an intensive training program complete with world-class instruction, guest speakers, club-fitting, video analysis with launch monitor data, fitness, and on-course instruction.

In addition these camps spend adequate time on the mental aspect of the game, as well as proper practice routines, tournament preparation, and opportunities for college golf. The week long experience focuses on creating the tools necessary for each student to continue improvement in their game long after they have returned home.

Swing Shape

June 24-25
$500/ Per Golfer
  • Elliott Williams, Director of Functional Movement for the San Francisco 49’rs will teach you how to physically control your swing shape through proper functional movement and kinetic awareness. For two days, this Egoscue Trainer will teach the secrets of the pros to help you be physically ready to achieve golfing excellence. Learn how to control your body for your swing shape.

Shot Shape/Scoring

July 25-26
$500/ Per Golfer
  • Learn from LPGA Tour Player Jill McGill’s perspective on shot shapes and scoring.  Jill will focus on:
  • Putting and wedge play
  • Getting from tee to green like a pro
  • Shaping shots and swings for different results
  • Playing to win by knowing when and how to be aggressive or conservative

On Course Performance

August 19-20
$500/ Per Golfer
  • Join Dr. Jay Brunza, Sports Psychologist to such players as Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth, for two days of intense mental focus! Dr. Brunza will teach you to channel your focus into the “Zone” in order to just play. Learn to:
  • Immerse yourself mentally in the challenge of the moment
  • Remove the inhibition of fear
  • Harness self-belief and discipline
  • Control your emotions to make your best shot
  • Create imagery and visualization to guide you through shot decisions

Bill Johnson is a PGA Class A member with over 25 years of coaching and teaching experience. Most recently Bill was named the 2013 Northern California Teacher of the Year – a wonderful and humbling achievement. Previously Bill was named as one of the top nine elite instructors in the Northern California Golf Guide and recognized by Golf Digest as one of the top 50 instructors in California.

Bill’s expertise and versatile teaching style is one of a kind. He thrives on the game of golf and has a passion for helping his broad range of students discover their potential, improve their skills and reach their goals.

Shelley grew up in a golf family caddying for sister, US Amateur Champion Jill McGill who played on the LPGA. She was an all-around athlete skiing on the United States Freestyle Ski Team and playing collegiate soccer. After having a career ending injury, Shelley was recruited by coach David Lee to participate in a program that was taking athletes from other sports and teaching them how to play golf. She fell in love with the game immediately and decided to turn professional. She passed the PAT after six months of training and joined the PGA PGM program in 2004.

Shelley served as lead instructor at Timarron Country Club 2005-2009 where she was given the Club Corp Rising Star Award 3 years in a row for both her Women’s Program and her Junior Development Program. In 2010, she was elected to PGA membership. And most recently was awarded the 2015 NCPGA Youth Leadership Award for her outstanding junior programs. Shelley has developed numerous women’s and junior programs over her 23 years of coaching experience in all of the sports that she has participated in. She holds a degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Sports Psychology, a minor in Coaching, and Certifications in TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) and K-Vest.

Specialty Coaches

Jay Brunza

Dr. Brunza has worked with a wide range of professional and amateur athletes and a diverse group of corporate and academic clientele. His most notable athletes are Tiger Woods and Jordan Speith. He started working with Tiger at the age of 13 on a wide variety of peak performance strategies centering on focus. concentration, and visualization.

Dr. Brunza also caddied for Tiger in three U.S. Junior Championships, two U.S. Amateurs, two U.S. Opens, the MASTERS, and multiple PGA events. Dr. Brunzas extensive sports psychology work with Tiger Woods is highlighted and documented in Tiger’s Authorized DVD Collection released in 2004. From 1997-2002, provided consulting services to the Sports Medicine Department at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV).

During his tenure, the tennis and golf teams won multiple Mountain West Conference Championships and the 1998 golf team won the prestegious NCAA National Championship. From March 2000 to present, Dr. Brunza has been on retainer with the Callaway Golf Company and in 2005 established a consulting relationship with the San Diego State University (SDSU) Sports Medicine Department working primarily with the men’s and women’s golf programs. During the 2011-2012 season, Dr. Brunza worked with the University of Texas men’s golf program that won the prestigious NCAA National Championship.

Jill McGill
LPGA Tour Player

Jill turned professional in December of 1994. As a competitor on the Women Professional Golfers’ European Tour (WPGET), Jill tied for second at the Weetabix Women’s British Open and finished 10th on the WPGET Order of Merit. Jill qualified for the Tour by tying for ninth at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 1996 LPGA season.

Her impressive amateur record includes winning the 1993 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship and the 1994 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship. She finished as runner-up in the 1994 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship and was a member of the 1994 U.S. Curtis Cup Team. As a collegiate player at the University of Southern California, Jill finished fourth at the 1994 NCAA Championship and was a two-time All-American. She was recently inducted into the USC Hall of Fame.

Dr. Glen Albagh

Dr. Glen Albaugh has created a unique Applied Sport Psychology Consulting Service for a wide range of professional and amateur golfers. Glen taught sports psychology at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California for 28 years where he coached the Pacific Tigers golf team. It was during this time, while working with the finest sports psychologists, coaches and golf instructors in the world, that he formulated the basis for the principles in his renowned book, which was authored with Michael Bowker, Winning the Battle Within. These principles have been refined over the years through applications and consultations with established touring pros, and a broad-base of amateurs – juniors to elite.
